Lions, Minions, and Babies ❤️❤️❤️

It was a fantastic week of learning once again! We learned more about each other and started to nail down more of our routines!  We started earning kindness gems. Students can earn a gem for being, on task, kind, helpful, respectful etc. Once they have earned 10 they can trade those for a prize box prize or one of the rewards listed below. We have already earned many gems for all sorts of great things! Be sure to ask them about their gems! We practiced our listening skills with a minion directed drawing.  A book order came home with them today.  All orders are due by Friday 9/23.  You can  send a check payable to Scholastic  or you can place your order online using the class code H9YG8.   

We are really focusing on working calmly and quietly.  A visual might help if you are interested in making a classroom donation these lights will affix to our board as a visual reminder. Cordless Push Lights

As we settle into our daily writing workshop it would be tremendously helpful to have a magnetic word wall in addition to our sound wall. Our goal is to continue to be brave spellers! with this tool  students can take a word with them to help them with their writing as needed. If you are interested in contributing, these are the items I am planning to use to create it.
